Omarion Hampton is a running back for the Los Angeles Chargers. A North Carolina native, Hampton starred at the University of North Carolina, earning All-American honors and back-to-back First-Team All-ACC recognition. The Chargers selected him with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Hampton has also participated in the Chargers’ community efforts supporting animal adoption, including events that bring players together with shelter pets to help raise awareness and find them homes. Most recently, he took part in the Chargers’ August 2026 shelter adoption event, spending time with adoptable animals and helping spotlight the importance of pet adoption.
