See what Dylan Walsh is up to:
“Any organization who has a mission of helping animals find their forever homes is something everyone should be behind. There are so many animals in horrific situations- to take in dogs that have been through the worse and love them till they are adopted is what my family will get behind.”
Dylan Walsh, born in Glendale, California, is a versatile American actor best known forhis role as Dr. Sean McNamara on FX’s Nip/Tuck (2003–2010). He went on to star as

Walsh was conceived in Ethiopia and spent his early childhood in Ghana, West Africa, followed by time in Madras, India, an d Jakarta, Indonesia. His family eventually settled in Annandale, Virginia, where he discovered a love of acting. He went on to earn an English degree from the University of Virginia before launching his professional acting career in the late 1980s.
Personally, Walsh is a devoted father of five. He shares two children—daughter Amélie Belle and son Hudson Scott—with his wife, Leslie Bourque, whom he married in New Orleans in 2022. He also has three older children—Thomas, Joanna, and Jamie( a), who identifies as non-binary—from previous relationships.
Beyond his work on screen, Walsh has quietly supported animal welfare. In 2019, he partnered with San Diego-based rescue Animal Pad to promote dog adoptions,
generating dozens of applications within an hour through a single post. His love of animals is deeply personal. He and Leslie adopted their beloved dog Ash—rescued as
a 12-week-old street puppy from Dogs and Cats of Antigua, thanks to a woman who regularly brings back dogs in need to a New Jersey rescue.
Their other dog, Riley, is currently on a courageous cancer journey. In February 2025, Riley began limping on her front right leg. What was initially thought to be a torn ligament turned devastating when X-rays revealed a tumor. The next day, a biopsy confirmed aggressive osteosarcoma. On February 14, Riley underwent a front-leg amputation, followed by six chemotherapy treatments. While the cancer is not curable, it has not spread. Riley remains pain-free and is enjoying a high quality of life, surrounded by love.
Looking ahead, Walsh is currently piecing together new projects, continuing to build a career that blends emotional depth on screen with grounded, compassionate living off of it.
