Congressmember Scott Peters represents California’s 50th District in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the Budget Committee. A former San Diego City Council President and Port Commission Chair, he has championed cleaner beaches, healthier communities, and protections for our shared environment—efforts that also safeguard wildlife and the pets we love. Known for his bipartisan approach, he works to bring people together on climate action, veterans’ services, healthcare, and local economic growth. A Duke and NYU Law graduate, Peters lives in La Jolla with his wife Lynn, where they’ve raised their two children and remain deeply connected to the San Diego community.
