Matilda was adopted from a rescue society when she was a baby. While she seemed normal when she was adopted, it turns out that she suffered from a genetic disorder that caused her eyes to become very large; she went blind, and eventually had to have the eyes removed. She has taught her people and many others around the world that pets with special needs are meant to be treasured, and make wonderful additions to a home!
