Baloo is Instagram’s famous “Bunny-Eared Bully”, an American Staffordshire Terrier mix rescued in 2017 from Aggieland Humane Society in College Station, Texas. Though his Instagram was originally started for fun, he quickly became one of the most popular “pitbulls” in the media, and is one of the mainstay advocates for animal rescue, “aggressive” breeds, and responsible dog ownership. Whether it’s his cartoon eyes, ridiculously unproportionate ears, or hilarious antics, people (and dogs) gravitate towards him and love him regardless of the stereotypes that surround his breed. Baloo reminds everyone to never judge a book by its cover.
